Richmond County District Attorney Office (Staten Island, NY)

The District Attorney's Office functions as the prosecutor in all criminal cases within their particular jurisdiction. The Richmond County District Attorney's Office, therefore, prosecutes all criminal cases occurring on Staten Island. The prosecutor is responsible for representing all residents of Staten Island when prosecuting someone for a crime committed in this borough. The District Attorney's Office is literally referred to as "The People" in court proceedings.
